The Roaring Lions Over the Hill 5k Run/Walk will be held at 9:00am on October 21, 2017. The race will be held on the Penn State Fayette Eberly Campus in Lemont Furnace, PA; just outside Uniontown. The race is to benefit the Penn State Fayette Cross Country Team.

The Over the Hill 5K will be an age-graded race; however, the grading will be done at the start of the race, rather than when the results are tallied. Runners will start in five-year stagger starts, and age-graded starts will be applied using WMA and USATF age grading guidelines. The clock will start when the last group leaves. 5K Walkers will leave with last group.

The Over the Hill 5K will be a looping, mostly road course. As outlined in the race title, you will have to go over a hill (or two). But remember, for every uphill there is a downhill.

Awards will be given out in both the 5K run and the 5K Walk.

The team is also partnering with Share Your Soles and collecting new and used(clean) shoes for those in need. You will receive $5 off your application fee with a shoe pledge.
