Ball Park Construction Reaches Milestone

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. – Construction on Fayette Field at Roaring Lions Park has reached an important milestone in Phase One of its construction. Earlier this week, workers began installing the fence that will enclose the field and bench areas. That process is expected to be completed by next week, if not sooner.

"We're at construction day 84 and I can't believe how things have changed," Fayette Athletic Director Vince Capozzi said with a broad smile. "It's been exciting to watch the transformation from an old practice field to an intercollegiate facility."

The fence installation is a major milestone in the first phase of the field because it is the last major construction component that needs to be completed. "Getting to the point that the field is totally enclosed is a really big step. It will look like a baseball field and will allow us to focus on the playing surface itself," Capozzi explained.
