Roaring Lions baseball returns from Spring Training in Dodgertown

Vero Beach, FL - The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions baseball team returned home from their spring training experience held at Dodger town in Vero Beach, Florida. The team played six games in five days. Although the team dropped their first six games, a handful of Penn State Fayette players shined early in the Sunshine State.

Austin Clark tallied 4 hits and a stolen base on the season, including going 2 for 3 at the plate against Olivet Nazarene University(Illinois) that featured an RBI double. Ross Mazer recorded a stolen base against Penn State Brandywine and walk against Grace College(Indiana). Mazer then hit a double and scored a run against Miami Hamilton. Kody Thomas went 2 for 3 against Grace College(Indiana) totaling 5 hits on the season.

Moving forward, the Roaring Lions have a non-conference game against WCCC and begin conference play at Mount Alto, a team who defeated Fayette in the PSUAC playoffs last season. The Roaring Lions will play their first home game against Penn State Greater Allegheny on March 31. Last season, Penn State Fayette finished the season 14-13 overall, including 9-12 in PSUAC play. This year the team looks to improve on last season's performance.
