BB comeback falls short against Christendom

Lemont Furnace, PA - The Penn State Fayette baseball team dropped a home exhibition game on Sunday to Christendom, 10-9, in a six-inning contest.

The guests exploded for six runs in the first and Fayette (10-15) never led in the game.

Trailing 10-4 in the fourth, Fayette scored four runs to make the score 10-8 with the big hit in the inning being a two-runs single by Austin Clark (Rices Landing, PA/Jefferson Morgan).

Fayette added another run in the fifth to trim its deficit to 10-9, but it could not get any closer.

Clark and Trevor Stewart (Grindstone, PA/Brownsville HS) both finished with two hits with the former having the two RBI and Stewart having four.

Ross Mazer (Frostburg, MD/Salisbury-Elk Lick HS) and TJ Lux (West Newton, PA/Yough HS) each had doubles for Fayette.
