Baseball drops game to Chatham University

Munhall, PA- Baseball drops game to Chatham.

Baseball had a slow start in last night's 9 inning game against Chatham University. Chatham managed to hold the strong batting team of Fayette off to scoring until the 6th inning of the game. Despite the effort, Fayette struggled to catch up to the 11 run lead Chatham held heading into the top of the 7th. Leading for Fayette was John Burns and Johnny Ioannu with 2 hits and 1 RBI a piece. Brandon Bieler managed to get 39 total strikes in 3 innings, while Ashton Ray accomplished 3 strikeouts in his 2 innings pitched.

Fayette (7-3) will have their first true home opener on campus Saturday with a double header against Kent State Tuscarawas (2-2) beginning at 1:00 P.M.
