Bio

Lou Pasquale joined the Penn State Fayette Baseball program in the Fall of 2022 and is the infield coach and third base coach for the Roaring Lions.

A native of Republic, PA, Lou has spent most of his life around local baseball involved in coaching at the high school level and the Fayette County Baseball League. Most recently he was the heach coach at California Area High School from 2018-2022, leading the Trojans to a WPIAL Championship in 2019 and receiving the "TRICADA Coach of the Year" award. Lou spent the last 8 years at California as either head coach or assistant and was part of 2 WPIAL Championship teams in 2017 and 2019. Previously, he was the head coach at Ringgold (2011-2012) and Geibel Catholic (2010) and was an assistant at Albert Gallatin, Belle Vernon, Geibel and Uniontown. From 1987-2012 Lou was involved in the Fayette County Baseball League as a player, coach and manager for Brownsville, Dearth, Leckrone, Athony Crane, Marios and Bud Murphy's. His teams won 4 regular season titles and 2 league championships. Over the years he received the "Joe Kurnot Pitcher of the Year" award (1993) and "M.r Baseball" award in 2004 and 2009. He is also a voting member of the Fayette County and Pennsylvania State Hall of Fame.

Pasquale played collegiately at California University of Pennsylvania (now known as PennWest) for Chuck Gismondi as a 4 year starter at middle infielder, outfielder and pitcher. In high school Lou was a 4 year starter in basketball and a 3 year starter in baseball at Mon Valley Catholic High School.

Lou and his wife Janice live in California, PA with their daugher Lucia.
