Fetzner scores team low 78; Fayette earns 3rd place

Lemont Furnace, PA – The Penn State Roaring Lions Golf team participated in another PSUAC match-up against Penn State New Kensington and Penn State DuBois. These three teams played in the "Bernie Guss Classic" on September 19th at The Links at Spring Church. The match was set to begin at 11:00 AM.

Penn State DuBois took home the victory with a final team score of 310. They had two golfers that were tied for 2nd and 4th place. Penn State New Kensington was 2nd with a score of 332. New Kensington's golfer, Dan Smith, was 1st place on the day with a score of 73.

The Roaring Lions came in 3rd place with a score of 333. Charlie Fetzner was the leader for the Roaring Lions with a score of 78. He was tied for 4th place along with Penn State DuBois. Noah House finished the day with a score of 80 and tied for 7th place. Gage Clark came in 11th place (86) and Austin Clark finished directly behind him for 12th place (89).

The Roaring Lions will look to bounce back with another PSUAC match-up coming up next week. The Roaring Lions golf team will be back at University Park on Monday, September 25th. The conference match will be played on the blue course and that match is set to begin at 10:00 AM.
