Fayette Golf Wins CCAC Boyce Tournament
Apollo, Pa - The Penn State Fayette golf team won CCAC Boyce Tournament at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo, PA on Saturday, September 7 by shooting a 346 overall team score.
"Louis Gonzalez shot a 79 on very dry conditions and took first place honors," said head coach Dave Gumbert.
Gonzalez (Port Lavaca, TX/Calhoun HS) edged out teammate Ryan Gesso (Uniontown, PA/Laurel Highlands), who finished in second place while Noah House (Mt. Pleasant/Southmoreland HS) shot an 83 and placed fifth.
Liam Reshenberg (Uniontown, PA/Geibel Catholic) shot a 103 to finish 11th and Alex Shafley (Mt. Pleasant, PA/Mt. Pleasant HS) finished 12th after shooting a 142.
"Liam and Alex are continuing to hone their skills," Gumbert said.
The team returns to action Saturday, September 15 when hosts action at Duck Hollow.
