Gesso leads Fayette Golf in Mount Aloysius Invitational
Cresson, Pa - The Penn State Fayette golf team took part in a non-conference tournament on Sunday, September 16 at the Summit Country Club in Cresson, PA.
The tournament was hosted by Mount Aloysius.
Despite soggy conditions, the team played hard and worked on their craft as the team gears up for the meat of the schedule.
"The course conditions were very wet due to rainfall two days earlier," said coach Dave Gumbert.
Ryan Gesso (Uniontown, PA/Laurel Highlands) paced the Nittany Lions with a score of 79, which was good enough for a tie for 17th place.
Lou Gonzalez (Port Lavaca, TX/Calhoun HS) shot an 88 to finish 36th and Noah House (Mt. Pleasant/Southmoreland HS) shot a 91 to finish tied for 43rd.
Eric Silbaugh (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown HS) and Liam Reshenberg (Uniontown, PA/Geibel Catholic) also competed for the Nittany Lions.
