Fayette Holds on to Beat New Ken, Remain Perfect in PSUAC Play

In a very close first half, the Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions were held to just 34 points, as they took to the locker room with a 34-33 lead over visiting Penn State New Kensington.  Fayette entered the game 5-0 in conference play, while New Kensington came in at 2-2 prior to the game.  The Roaring Lions erupted in the second half for 49 points, paced by balance scoring by 3 of Fayette's 4 Seniors. 

Brandon Cunningham (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) led the Lions with 26 points, going 5 for 8 from behind the arc.  Matt McKenna (Pittsburgh, PA) notched his 5th straight double-double, posting 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Jacob Bronder (Jefferson Hills, PA) and Junior guard Luke Williams followed with 16 and 9 points respectively. 

Junior point guard CJ Gaddis (Brownsville, PA) continued his solid floor performance with 6 assists, as he leads the USCAA (www.theuscaa.com), averaging just over 9 a game.  Gaddis also leads the nation in assist to turnover ratio and total assists.  Freshman Mario Reeves (Pittsburgh, PA) contributed 6 points off of the bench.

Fayette hosts Penn State Greater Allegheny in their final game of the semester on Friday December 12th at 8:00 PM.
