Men's Basketball split their games over the weekend

LeMont Furnace-Fayette took a split over the weekend as they won their first game against Penn State Worthington Scranton and dropped the second game to Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

The Roaring Lion's won 91-79 against Penn State Worthington Scranton on Friday night. Spencer Perieff led Fayette in scoring and led the Lion's to a crucial first conference win. The Roaring Lion's also had a big contribution from Tanner Huffman who came off the bench and dropped 10 points and 4 steals.

Fayette lost their second game of the weekend matches to Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, 85-74. Fayette was down most of the game but made a late second half rally to cut the lead to less than double digits but the rally came much too late as Wilkes-Barre left with the win. Dominick Jackson led Fayette in scoring as he scored 24 points but he was outdeuled against Christopher Cantine who put up 33 points for Wilkes-Barre.

The Roaring Lion's have now moved to 2-7 on the season and 1-1 in PSUAC play. The Lion's have a string of two away conference games before they go on break for a month. The Lion's would like to win these next two games for a nice send off before Christmas break. Fayette's next game is Tuesday at Penn State New Kensington at 7:00 PM.
