MBB secures victory in home opener

Lemont Furnace, PA - The Penn State Fayette men's basketball team placed four players in double figures as it rolled to an easy 85-66 win over Penn State DuBois in PSUAC action Wednesday night.

 

Marvin Sidon (Lahaina, HI/Lahainaluna HS) and Dominic Boring (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster HS) each scored 17 points while London Hoxie (Menifee, CA/Paloma HS) added 15 points and Tavian Mozie (McClellandtown, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) tallied 13 in the win.

The outcome was never in doubt as Fayette (2-5, 2-1) raced out to (3-5, 0-4) a 10-0 advantage and a 23-5 lead 5:01 into the contest.

Fayette forced 20 first half turnovers and shot 48.4% (15-31) to take a 54-30 lead into the intermission.

For the game, Fayette made 28 of 66 shots (42.4%) while DuBois, who had 31 turnovers, hit 23 of its 46 shots (50%).

Fayette took advantage of the DuBois turnovers as it scored 35 points off of them.

Malik Gordon looked best for DuBois with 15 points.

Fayette returns to the court Friday at Penn State Shenango in a PSUAC game.
