MBB drops third straight PSUAC game

Mont Alto, PA - The PSU Fayette men's basketball team lost its third straight PSUAC game with an 83-63 loss at PSU Mont Alto Tuesday night.

An Iman Young (Silver Springs, MD/West Potomac HS) layup gave Fayette a 2-0 lead with 18:56 to play in the first half, but it would be the only time Fayette led in the game.

Salim Wyche (Bel Air, MD/East Stroudsburg HS) cut the Mont Alto lead to 41-40 with 16:15 to play when he made a layup, and Fayette kept the score within two possessions for several more minutes.

However, Mont Alto started to pull away led by double figures for the last 10:26 of the game.

Hoxie led Fayette with 18 points while Young had 11 points and 11 rebounds and Marvin Sidon (Lahaina, HI/Lahainaluna HS) had 11 points and 11 assists.

Fayette shot 36.2% (25-69) from the field and only 18.5% (5-27) from beyond the arc while Mont Alto show 46.9% (30-64) from the field and 40.9% (9-22) from downtown.

Kevin Holston (25) and Jalen Smith (20) combined for 45 points for Mont Alto.
