MBB wins fourth in a row
Lemont Furnace, Pa - The PSU Fayette men's basketball team extended its season-high winning streak to four games with a 96-72 decision over PSU Schuylkill Friday night.
With the contest knotted at 21-21 with 8:38 to play in the first half, a Jared Gaddis (New Salem, PA/Brownsville HS) free throw gave Fayette (9-14, 9-8 PSUAC) a one-point lead and it would outscore Schuylkill (8-14, 6-10) 30-7 the rest of the half to take a 52-28 lead into halftime.
Fayette led by as many as 29 in the second half and 11 different players played at least 12 minutes.
London Hoxie (Menifee, CA/Paloma HS) led five players in double figures with 21 points and added six rebounds while Tavian Mozie (McClellandtown, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) added 15 points, six rebounds and five assists, Dominic Boring (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster HS) provided 14 points off of the bench, Marvin Sidon (Lahaina, HI/Lahainaluna HS) scored 12 points and five assists and Craig Weaver (New Freeport, PA/West Greene HS) scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.
For the game, Fayette shot 47.2% (34-72) while Schuylkill shot 34.8% (24-69).
Devin King led Schuylkill with 17 points.
Fayette hosts PSU Hazleton Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
