Loughrie commits to Fayette Nittany Lions Basketball

Lemont Furnace, PA – John Loughrie has committed to furthering his academic and athletic career with the Penn State Fayette Nittany Lions Men's Basketball program. He resides in Kingwood, WV where he attended Preston High School. During his time there, Loughrie was a named team captain for the boys' basketball program, honored as Athlete of the Week twice, and earned the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Loughrie is excited to make a name for himself both academically and athletically. With a career interest in social work, he intends to pursue psychology as a degree of interest. However, he is most looking forward to the combination of college basketball game-day, making new friends, and getting involved on campus.

Loughrie's greatest motivators are his parent, sisters, and grandfather, but his greatest influencer is his Uncle DJ who always maintains a positive outlook through life's greatest challenges.
