Kromer, Stairs lead Fayette to first win

HOPWOOD, Pa. – Jessica Stairs blasted Fayette's first homer of the year and Moriah Kromer tossed a shutout as Fayette defeated Waynesburg 3-0 in the second game of a doubleheader at Hutchinson Field.

Madison Presto started the inning by singling to right and moved to second on Jenna Dorazio's sacrifice bunt. Haley Payne singled to third and MacKenzie Smith walked to load the bases with one out.

Kromer got Emily Sorton hit a comebacker to the mound and fired home to force Presto. Jess Dorazio grounded out to short to end the inning.

On the mound, Kromer tossed a seven hitter, walking three with no strikeouts. She faced 30 batters.
