Sb falls at PS Beaver

Monaca, PA - The Penn State Fayette softball team went to PS Beaver Friday, March 28 for a double header, but it could only get in one game and unfortunately, Fayette came out on the short end, 3-1.

Fayette (5-9, 4-1 PSUAC) was limited to five hits, all singles, and could not hold an early 1-0 lead.

With one out, Chanel Porter (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) and advanced to second on a single by Destiny Habeck (Monessen, PA/Monessen HS).

Katie Kelley (Fairchance, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) followed with an RBI single to bring in Porter for the 1-0 lead, but Fayette would not score again.

Beaver scored in the third to tie the game and scored the game-winning run in the fourth.

The hosts picked up an insurance run in the sixth, but it would not need it as Fayette was retired in order in the seventh.
