McKlveen commits to Fayette Softball

Lemont Furnace, PA - Courtney McKlveen has committed to continuing her academic and athletic career with Penn State Fayette and the Nittany Lions Softball program. McKlveen is a Senior at Ligonier Valley High School and is looking to pursue Nursing as a degree of interest with the intention of working as a registered nurse.

"I am looking forward to making new friends and furthering my education in the classroom and
skills on the field." McKlveen stated.

McKlveen credits her great grandmother as her greatest motivation. "[She] motivates me the most because she has always been there to cheer me on during softball and throughout my high school career. She is my number one supporter."

However, she credits her parents as "the most influential" people in her life. "They have spent countless hours to get me where I want to be. They believed in me when I did not believe in myself."

Courtney will join the program at the start of the Fall 2020 semester.
