Lady Lions Race Past DuBois

Lemont Furnace, PA - The Lady Lions of Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus stormed past Penn State DuBois 100-58 Tuesday night at the Community Center's Main Arena.

Six of the Eight Lady Lions found themselves in double digits at the end of the highest scoring game of the season for Fayette.  Led by Sophomore forward Kaitlyn Miller's 19 points and 12 rebounds, the Lady Lions never trailed in the contest.

Fayette scorched the nets for an amazing 72% from behind the three point arc, led by Junior guard Kelsey Laurine.  Laurine went 4-4 from behind the arc, while Freshman guard Ally Rudolph was 5-7 behind the arc.  Sophomore forward Courtney Haines nailed 2 of her 3 attempts behind the three point line, and Freshman guard Haley Moreland was 1-1 from long range.  Rounding out the Lions hot shooting was Freshman forward Jackie Halapy, going 1-1 from behind the three point line.

Haines finished with 18 points and 7 assists on the evening, while Rudolph17 points and 6 assists.  Moreland, Laurine, and Junior forward Shannon Flament rounded out the double digit scoring with 15, 14, and 10 points respectively.

Freshman forward Kira Doaks also contributed heavily to the Lady Lion victory.  Doaks finished with two points on two shot attempts.

Fayette is back in action when they host Penn State Mont Alto in the regular season finale Saturday at 5:30.
