Carlow Downed Lady Roaring Lions

LEMONT FURNACE, PA – Tough loss for the Lady Roaring Lions against the Carlow Celtics, attempting a rally in the fourth quarter adding on 15 points, but it just wasn't enough before finally falling 64-41. The Fayette Ladies did improve since the last encounter with Carlow at the very beginning of the season which was a positive end to last night.

Catching up with Theresa Fachetti for the Celtics, Natalie Alexander has now increased her total points this season to 217 points while Fachetti just barely maintains her team lead with 225 points (11 points last night). Alexander was also the big scorer in the game last night sinking six field goals and shooting a perfect 3-3 on the free throw line. The Celtics had one more player hitting double digits with 11 points, Samantha Simpson.

Coming in hot on the free throw line, the Fayette ladies were the definition of calm and composed. Hitting their second highest percentage of free throws made this season (76.5%), the Roaring Lions made as many free throws as Carlow attempted (13). Ally Rudolph impressively made all four of her foul shots while Taylor Smith also helped out going three for four.

Haley Moreland, for Fayette, had her twelfth game this season in double digits with 13 points against Carlow. This was her third game out of the past five which she was the top scorer for her team.

After tonight's game versus Penn State Beaver at home for Fayette at 6:00pm, the Lady Roaring Lions will finally get more than a day of rest over the past week with their sixth game. Next up, will be Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday, February 6th at 3:00pm.
