Lemont Furnace, PA- A huge night in the Main Arena at the Community Center at Penn State Fayette. The Lady Roaring Lions have always had an intense match up each time they play Penn State Beaver. It was a tight battle throughout the whole game. Penn State Fayette stayed with Beaver, only being down by one at the half. The Lady Roaring Lions came up short in the 4th being outscored by 7. The final was 61-51 with Penn State Beaver moving to second in the conference.
For the Lady Roaring Lions, they were led by junior Haley Moreland who had started off hot and got a high of 17 points. Senior Courtney Haines followed behind giving Fayette 12 points. Taylor Smith (Sr), 9 points, and Lyndsey Huhn (Jr) both grabbed 9 rebounds each.
Penn State Beaver was led by Senior Asia Borders having a double-double for the night, 20 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore, Mia Matters also had a good night for her team with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
The Penn State Fayette Lady Roaring Lions will look to end their conference play as they host Penn State DuBois February 11th at 2 pm.
