Fayette Comes Up Short In Postseason Play

Media, PA- It was a tough battle across the state as the Fayette Lady Roaring Lions played Penn State Brandywine for the PSUAC Playoffs. Fayette was ahead of Brandywine for the first half of the game. Then the tables turned as the crowd boosted Brandywine to come back. The Lady Roaring Lions came up short at the end, losing 80-77.

Penn State Fayette was led by senior Taylor Smith with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Junior Haley Moreland pulled 18 points and senior Courtney Haines had 11 points. Sophomore Lyndsey Huhn had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Siteri Tale led in rebounding for Fayette with 11 and 6 points.

For Penn State Brandywine, they were led by three players. Nikki Velez had a game high of 24 points. Chelsea Dent had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Brandi James had 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Although the road to playoffs has ended, the Fayette Lady Roaring Lions' season is not over. They will have the next couple weeks to prepare as they play host to the USCAA National Tournament.
