WBB blows out PSU DuBois

DuBois, PA - The Penn State Fayette women's basketball team never trailed and ended a three-game losing streak with a much-needed win at Penn State DuBois Tuesday night with a 96-75 PSUAC conference win.

Fayette (5-10, 3-4) scored at least 20 points in each quarter en route to the win over DuBois (8-4, 4-3).

For the game, Fayette shot 52.8% (38-72) from the field while limiting DuBois to 38.9% (28-72).

Siteri Tale (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands HS) led five Fayette players in double figures with 23 and she also grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds to pace the victors.

Kaitlyn Riley (Charleroi, PA/Charleroi HS) continued her hot play as she added 21 points, Bailey Vig (California, PA/California HS) added 17 off of the bench, Dae-lin Burnsworth (Monarch, PA/Connellsville HS) scored 11 and played all 40 minutes while Lyndsey Huhn (California, PA/California HS) chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Kristen Williams and Lauren Young took team honors with 12 points apiece for DuBois.

Fayette opened a 25-15 lead after one quarter Saturday and outscored DuBois 27-11 in the second quarter to take a commanding 52-26 lead into halftime.

For the game, Fayette held a 30-20 advantage in points off of turnovers and its biggest lead was 31 points at 58-27 with 8:57 to play in the third quarter.

Fayette hosts PSU Schuylkill (0-15, 0-9) Friday night at 6 p.m. before hosting PSU Hazleton (3-9, 2-5) Saturday at noon.
