WBB downs WCCC in home opener, 80-55

The Penn State Fayette women's basketball team placed five players in double figures as it downed Westmoreland County Community College Wednesday, 80-55.

The Nittany Lions extended their lead to 40-23 at halftime and held a commanding 67-38 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Kaitlyn Riley (Charleroi, PA/Charleroi HS) led the balanced attack with 20 points and had five assists, Taylor McCormick (Laurel, MD/Eleanor Roosevelt HS) had 15 points and six assists, Dae-lin Burnsworth (Monarch, PA/Connellsville HS) scored 13 points and had six assists, Brooke Poling (Perryopolis, PA/Frazier HS) had 12 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had six assists, Carissa Cyphert (Scottsdale, PA/Southmoreland HS) had 12 points and eight rebounds and Anaejah Harris (Uniontown, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) tallied eight points and 11 rebounds.
