Lemont Furnace, PA- Women's basketball win's in competitive home opener against WCCC.
Women's Basketball defested Westmoreland Community College last night in their season home opener. In the first quarter Fayette was down by 5 and rallied back, ending the game 66-57 against WCCC.
Top scorers were Taylor McCormick 26 points, Stephanie Taylor 13 points and 9 rebounds, and Takiah Cheathon with 12 points.
Head Coach Scott Hillen spoke about the match up, "We started off slow and made mistakes. We played hard and found a way to get the win."
Women's basketball will be hitting the road to Univeristy of Miami Hamilton in Ohio at 3:00 P.M. on November 5th for a USCAA match up.
