Fayette wrestlers compete at 'King of the Mont' tourney

Mont Alto, PA - The Penn State Fayette wrestling team took part in the Penn State Mont Alto "King of the Mont" tournament this past weekend.

Although the event never concluded, Fayette's wrestlers were able to put some good work in and went a collective 5-7 in their matches.

Freshman Doug Bittner (Mt. Pleasant, PA/Mt. Pleasant HS) went 1-2 at 125-pounds, including a 6-4 decision over Mason Blank of Penn State Mont Alto.

Freshman Arik Nickelson (Connellsville, PA/Connellsville HS) went 2-1 at 149-pounds including a pin over Ryan Dingertopadre of Bergan College in 1:47 and Nickelson also picked up a medical forfeit.

Freshman Gannon Lenhart (Derry, PA/Derry HS) went 2-2 at 174-pounds including pinfall wins over Justin Eline of Mont Alto in 2:50 and over Luke Mazzeo of James Madison in 1:24.

Sophomore Aaron Mylan (Rices Landing, PA/Jefferson Morgan) wrestled up and went 0-3 at 149-pounds.
