A Serve for the Ages: Williams 25 Straight

NEW KENSINGTON, PA – After competing in a Quad Match at Penn State New Kensington on Sunday, October 4th, playing against Penn State Hazleton and Penn State Lehigh Valley, the Lady Roaring Lions swept the competition off the floor that day. In both matches, Penn State Fayette went 3-0 to continue their win streak to six straight 3-0 matches.

Standing out throughout the day was junior, Caitlyn Williams, the libero for Fayette dominating the floor. Starting off the day versus Hazleton, Williams competed in all three sets tallying up 7 digs while also currently leading her team in digs each game so far this season.

Caitlyn Williams started off the match against Lehigh Valley tossing up the first and last serve of the first set without stopping. With the help of her team, Williams dominated offensively with 25 consecutive serves to sweep the first set which is almost unheard of. Throughout the entire match, Williams accumulated a remarkably impressive season high of 13 service aces helping to gather up another incredible season high of 14 points for her team.
