Dominate weekend performances by Lady Roaring Lions Volleyball

Lemont Furnace, PA – Last weekend, the Roaring Lions had another weekend of PSUAC competition to play against. On Saturday, Penn State Fayette hosted a double header with Penn State Worthington Scranton as their first match-up in the Community Center Gym at 2:00 PM and Penn State Wilkes Barre at 4:00 PM. On Sunday, the Roaring Lions traveled to Penn State New Kensington to play in another double header. In the first game, Penn State Fayette played against Penn State Hazleton at 2:00 PM in New Kensington and Penn State Lehigh Valley directly after at 4:00 PM.

On Saturday, Penn State Fayette hosted a double header of PSUAC games that were very important for the conference. The Roaring Lions extended their undefeated home record and shutout both Penn State Worthington Scranton and Penn State Wilkes Barre, 3-0. In the first game against Penn State Worthington Scranton, the sets went 25-8, 25-9 and 25-10 in favor of Penn State Fayette. Siteri Tale tallied 12 kills and 2 digs for the Roaring Lions. Morgan Pytlak had 8 kills as well. Machaela Hall recorded another big game of assists with 21 and Alex Muccioli recorded 5 digs. The second game went in favor of the Roaring Lions as the sets went 25-11, 25-10 and 25-12. Tale tallied 14 kills and 4 blocks and Pytlak had 10 kills. Machaela Hall assisted 25 times with 5 digs. Chanel Porter contributed as well with 6 digs.

On Sunday, Penn State Fayette traveled to Penn State New Kensington. Penn State New Kensington was the site of two more PSUAC games that were big games to win for the Roaring Lions. In the first game against Penn State Hazleton, the sets went 25-7, 25-13 and 25-9 for Penn State Fayette. It was another big game of kills for Siteri Tale and Morgan Pytlak. Tale had 13 and Pytlak had 8. Machaela Hall had an outstanding 28 assists during this game and Chanel Porter recorded another 6 digs for the Roaring Lions. The final game of the weekend took place directly after against Penn State Lehigh Valley. The sets concluded with 25-16, 25-15 and 25-10 for the Roaring Lions. In the last game, Tale tallied 11 kills and Kyonte Martin had 8 kills. Machaela Hall had 19 assists and 8 digs and Alex Muccioli recorded 7 digs.

Coming up this week, the Roaring Lions will host Penn State Greater Allegheny on Wednesday, October 11th in the Community Center Gym at 7:00 PM. On Thursday, Penn State Fayette will travel to Allegany College of Maryland to play in a non-conference match at 6:00 PM.
