Beaver no match for Lady Roaring Lions

Lemont Furnace, PA - Penn State Fayette volleyball have won 8 games in a row. 7 of those games have been PSUAC teams and big points in the standings for the Roaring Lions. Yesterday, Penn State Fayette hosted one of the biggest games of the season. This match-up would be against Penn State Beaver in the Community Center Gym. Beaver and Fayette were both tied (11-3) in the PSUAC going into the match. Penn State Fayette were defeated, 3-2, in the first game between these teams. The Roaring Lions were looking for revenge and a big victory as they inch closer to the playoffs.

Penn State Fayette defeated Penn State Beaver, 3-1. Penn State Beaver would take the first set of the game, 25-21. The Roaring Lions would regroup and respond by winning 3 straight sets to defeat Penn State Beaver. The sets went 25-15, 25-20 and 25-18. Kayla Barbabella tallied 4 digs for the Roaring Lions. Hannah Lipniskis had 3 kills and 4 digs for Penn State Fayette. Khani Young had 4 kills, 2 digs and 5 blocks. Machaela Hall had another big game of assists with 27 and 9 digs. Alex Muccioli had a great game of serving with multiple aces and tallied 10 digs on the evening. Chanel Porter recorded 12 digs. Kyonte Martin had 6 kills, 5 digs and 1 block. Morgan Pytlak recorded 8 kills and 12 digs. Siteri Tale had another big game for Penn State Fayette. She tallied 11 kills, 23 digs and 2 blocks. With this victory, Penn State Fayette is now in 3rd place in the PSUAC and extend their win streak to 9 in a row.

Tonight, Penn State Fayette is back in action and look to continue their win streak at home. They will host Allegany College of Maryland. The match is set to begin at 7:00 PM. Tonight, Penn State Fayette will play in the "Break the Silence" game. Join Penn State Fayette and show awareness for domestic violence by wearing purple to the game on Friday. There will be shirts for $10 and all proceeds will be donated to our local Fayette County domestic violence shelter.
