Lady Nittany Lions volleyball drop home opener to Carlow

Lemont Furnace, Pa - The Penn State Fayette women's volleyball team dropped its home opener Wednesday night to Carlow University, three sets to none.

"We just didn't really show up tonight," said head coach Sam Swetz. "We seemed to lack energy tonight."

In the opening set, Carlow won, 25-16.

It followed with a 25-22 in in the second set and clinched the win by a 25-17 score in the third set.

"It's games like this, against a USCAA Division I team, that you have to pick yourself up and look forward."

Jadyn Barnish (Carmichaels, Carmichaels HS) had 13 assists along with two aces while Chanel Porter (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) had 13 digs.

Siteri Tale (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands HS) had four blocks and five kills.

The Nittany Lions (1-3) return to action Friday as they host Potomac State College of West Virginia at 6 pm.
