Fayette Volleyball drops 2 in tri-match at Christendom College

Front Royal, VA - The Penn State Fayette women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the Christendom College tri-match in Front Royal, VA.

"It was a competitive day but things didn't go our way," said head coach Sam Swetz. "We have to get ready and move forward."

The Nittany Lions (2-5) dropped 3-1 decisions to both the hosts and to Notre Dame of Maryland.

Against Christendom, the Nittnay lions won the first set 27-25 but then dropped the next three sets (25-21, 25-22 and 25-20).

Siteri Tale (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands HS) had 14 kills, 28 digs, five blocks and two aces.

 Kiki Martin (Brownsville, PA/Brownsville HS) had 10 kills, Jadyn Barnish (Carmichaels, Carmichaels HS) had 30 assists and Chanel Porter () had 25 digs.

Against Notre Dame, the Nittany Lions dropped the first two sets (25-17 and 25-11) but bounced back by winning the third set (26-24) before losing the fourth set (25-16).

Tale had 16 kills and two blocks, Barnish had 26 assists, Anei Toasisi (Uniontown, Uniontown HS) had 30 digs while Porter added 23 digs.

The team returns to action on Thursday when it goes to Point Park.
