Bethany downs Fayette volleyball in 3

Lemont Furnace, Pa - The Penn State Fayette volleyball team was swept by Bethany College Monday night.

"We just didn't show up," said coach Sam Sweitz. "I think that in the season, everyone has one bad game and it just happened that all of them had it at the same time."

The Nittany Lions (4-6) lost the sets 25-6, 25-16 and 25-20.

Siteri Tale (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands HS) had 11 digs, Machaela Hall (Fairchance, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) had 10 digs and Jadyn Barnish (Carmichaels, Carmichaels HS) had two aces.

Despite the loss, Swetz credited Bethany.

"Courtney Kline should be proud of the team she has built and they are very good," Swetz said. "I could see them winning the PAC (Pennsylvania Athletic Conference)."
