Volleyball wins again; sets up showdown at PSU GA

Lemont Furnace, Pa - The volleyball team picked up an important PSUAC win Saturday as it swept PSU New Kensington, 3-0.

By winning the three sets in quick fashion (25-15, 15-13, 25-15), it sets up Fayette (6-6, 3-0), who has won three of its last four matches, for a huge match tomorrow at PSU Allegheny.

"After today's performance, I am excited for tomorrow's game," said head coach Sam Swetz. "I truly believe (Sunday) will be the deciding game of who takes first seed on our side of the conference (tournament)."

Jayden Barnish (Carmichaels, Carmichaels HS) had 24 assists and a quintet of aces while Siteri Tale (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands HS) had 15 kills and two blocks.

Machaela Hall (Fairchance, PA/Albert Gallatin HS) had 12 digs, Chanel Porter (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) had 11 and Anei Toaisi (Uniontown, Uniontown HS) had 10.

The showdown at PSU Great Allegheny starts Sunday at 2 pm.
