Tale named USCAA VB Player of the Week

Lemont Furnace, PA - Penn State Fayette junior Siteri Tale (Uniontown/Laurel Highlands HS) has been named the USCAA Division 2 Volleyball Player of the Week.

Announced on October 23, the junior middle hitter was honored to win the award.

"It means a lot to me," she said humbly. "I've waited for a while now hoping that I'd be on the (USCAA) web site being honored as the player of the week."

Tale had 29 kills, 16 digs and three blocked shots during Fayette's sweeps against Penn State Beaver and Penn State Greater Allegheny.

Fayette head coach Sam Swetz spoke about Tale.

"I am so happy that she has received the award and she has earned it because she works so hard," she said. "She has such a positive attitude."

Swetz also shared that Tale has 952 career kills.

"She is 48 away from 1,000," said Swetz. "That is incredible, considering that she is a junior."
