VB closes regular season with sweep at New Ken

The Penn State Fayette Volleyball team closed out its regular season with a 3-0 sweep at Penn State New Kensington Monday night in Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) action.

"We are really coming together for the playoffs," said head coach Sam Swetz. "I really love this team.  They are best friends off the court which makes them so special."

Fayette won the sets 25-16, 25-8 and 25-15).

Kristina Aeschbacher (Carmichaels, PA/Carmichaels HS) had seven kills, Alie McGee (Carmichaels, PA/Carmichaels HS) finished with 14 assists and Kamden Miller (Midland, PA/Lincoln Park HS) tallied 16 digs.

Next up for Fayette (12-8 overall, 7-5 PSUAC), who has tied their season-best three-match winning streak, is the PSUAC Quarterfinals when it heads to Penn State Mont Alto (18-5, 10-2), the top seed out of the PSUAC West division.  The teams split their two matchups with each team winning on the road.
