Roaring Lions XC take 7th at Hood College; shift focus to PSUAC

Lemont Furnace, PA – The final race of the regular season took place at Hood College last Saturday for the Roaring Lions. The race took place in Frederick, Maryland and 19 teams traveled to Hood College to compete in this invitational. Penn State Fayette finished 7th out of the 19 teams.

Leading the way for the Roaring Lions was Aaron Mylan  (28:10) and Devin Pisarski (29:11). Other men's runners that competed were Nyoah Marteny (29:41), Michael Elliot (30:56), PJ Savini (32:18), Ty Hunker (35:06) and Anthony Berdine (35:06). For the women, Stephanie Hall finished with a time of 35:49 and Amber Glodziak finished in 39:12. Coach Carei stated "it was a great race to run before the conference meet on the 28th. We saw a bunch of personal records and the team seemed really solid.  I would have to say we are ready for the conference meet."

Looking ahead, the Roaring Lions will have a week off before they begin their quest to capture PSUAC and USCAA championships. The PSUAC Championship begin Saturday, October 28th at Penn State Mont Alto. The USCAA Championships will occur on Wednesday, November 8th in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
