Fayette hosts National Invitational, Mylan places 3rd

Lemont Furnace, PA - Over the weekend, Penn State Fayette played hosts to the 2020 USCAA/PSUAC National Invitatonal wrestling tournament. With 12 visiting collegiate wrestling program, Fayette performed well with three competing tournament wrestlers. The Fayette was represented by Doug Bittner, Aaron Mylan and Michael Standish. Sophomore Doug Bittner wrestling in weight class 125; Junior Aaron Mylan wrestled in weight class 149; and Freshman Michael Standish wrestled in 165.

The Fayette team had one medalist over the weekend at the tournament. Aaron Mylan came out with a 3rd place finish in his weight class at 149. Both Doug Bittner and Michael Standish both had good performances of their own weight class in the tournament with standish placing 4th.

For the tournament, the Apprentice School took team 1st place with a score of 175, followed by Alderson Broaddus with 139 points, and the 3rd place team U. Conn with 86 points.
