Penn State Fayette Men's Baseball Sweep York

Hopwood- The Penn State Fayette men's baseball team hosted Penn State York Saturday afternoon in second conference double-header. The Roaring Lions dominated Penn State York beating them 11-1 and 6-1. 

In the first game of their double-header the Penn State Fayette men's baseball team came out and dominated from start to finish, scoring 4 run in the first inning. The beginning of the batting order got them rolling be scoring 4 runs right off the bat.  Fayette's bats remained hot scoring run in 3 of for innings. Stanley Deavers led Fayette out on the mound, having an impressive performance allowing only 1 run and 2 hits.  

The first four batters really led the way for the Roaring Lions offensively. Jim Amarosa, Seth Krall, Francisco Quinonez, and Jon Krall all had outstanding performances. Jim Amarosa batted leadoff going 3-3, scoring 3 runs and batting in 2 RBI's. Seth Krall kept the ball rolling going 3-4, scoring 3 runs and batting in 3 RBI's. Francisco Quinonez followed Krall going a perfect 3-3, scoring 3 runs and grabbing 2 RBI.  Between these three players and Jon Krall they went on to score 11 of Fayette's 13 runs.   

The second game was a much different story. Penn State York came out and played a much better game but was still not able to handle Penn State Fayette's offense. Fayette's defense was led by Kody Thomas who pitched a very solid game allowing only 1 run and 2 hits. Fayette was led offensively by Jim Amarosa who went 3-3 with 1 RBI.  Grant Wortman and Stanley Deavers who both went 2-3 on the afternoon. Deavers had an RBI on the day as well.   

The Fayette men's baseball team will be back in action Wednesday April 6th at 2:00pm and 5:00pm at Hutchinson Field.  Fayette will host Penn State Greater Allegheny in their 3rd PSUAC conference double-header of the season.
