Fayette participates in Gene Cusic Classic in Ft. Myers, Florida

Fort Myers, FL- Roaring Lions baseball is in Spring Training action at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida.  The Roaring Lions faced Illinois College in their first game of the young season.  The Roaring Lions were in control most of the game with a 3-1 lead at the end of the 4th, but were not able to pull off the win.  Fayette fell to Illinois College with a final of 6-5 in 10 innings.

The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions were again in action at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida.  The Roaring Lions faced Rivier University in just their second game of the season.  The Roaring Lions were able to play strong and keep their opponent at bay for the majority of the game.  The final of the game in 9 innings was 13-7 in favor of Fayette giving the Roaring Lions their first victory of the young season.

The Roaring Lions played their third game of the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida in an exhibition against a more local opponent in Thiel College.  The Roaring Lions would go on to have issues throughout the game against Thiel, and would never really make the game a fair fight.  Thiel Collge defeated Penn State Fayette by a final in 9 innings of 9-2.

The Roaring Lions played their final appareance in the Gene Cusic Classic in an exhibition against Bethel University.  The Roaring Lions will return from Florida posting a record of 1-1 during their time at the Gene Cusic Classic.  The Roaring Lions will have their first action of the regular season against Allegheny College of Maryland on March 19th at 2pm.
