Fayette loses home opener to Greater Allegheny

Lemont Furnace, PA- The Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions saw their first action on their newly built field this past Monday evening.  Fayette hosted Penn State Greater Allegheny in what looked to be a promising matchup.  Greater Allegheny would get off to score the game's first run in the 1st inning then, then two more runs in the 2nd inning.  Fayette would be able to score 1 run in the 2nd inning, but that is all the offense that they would be able to compile.  Penn State Greater Allegheny defeated the Roaring Lions by a final of 4-1 in 7 innings.

Fayette had two highlighted players in yesterday's game.  Austin Clark who had 2 at bats, 1 run, and 1 hit and Justin Salom who had 3 at bats, 2 hits, and 1 RBI.

The Roaring Lions will be back in action this Thursday at home against Penn State Beaver with  a 3:00PM first pitch.
