Fayette drops 4 to Mont Alto

Lemont Furnace, PA- Fayette dropped four to Mont Alto.

 

Fayette had a rough series, losing four games in the series to the PSUAC defending champions, Penn State Mont Alto. Penn State Mont Alto is currently ranked second in the USCAA Coaches Poll. Fayette did not go down without a fight, losing 8-7 in the second game of the series, which went to an additional inning. Fayette also made a strong comeback in the seventh inning of the last game of the series, but it wasn't enough, leaving the score 9-7. Despite the losses Fayette has clinched a playoff spot and will start PSUAC playoffs this Saturday at Penn State Mont Alto, where they will take on Penn State Dubois. Fayette has a win against Dubois in the regular season, and will face them in only one seven inning game Saturday. Before playoffs Fayette will honor their seniors tomorrow night with a night game at Hutchinson Park. The game will start at 6:00 P.M. Fayette will be honoring Jorge Palmas, Dylan Bohna, Kyle Ridley and Cade Warrick who have been a part of two PSUAC playoff berths in their time at Fayette.
