Baseball wins 2 at KSU Tuscarawas

Dover, OH- Fayette closes out series against Kent State Tuscarawas with two wins. 

Fayette came with vengeance, and started out on top with 8 runs to the Tuscarawas 1 by the third inning. Not only were the bats hot, but so was the fielding with a triple play to close out the third inning between Aidan Newmeyer, Josh Burns, and Andrew Despot. Fayette finished the game as strong as they started with 6 runs in the top of the seventh. The winning pitcher for Fayette was Brandon Bieler who pitched all seven innings, only allowing 2 runs to score and pitched 4 strikeouts. AJ Segarra, from Mount Lebanon, PA, managed to achieve 3 RBIs, 2 hits, and 2 runs. Aidan Newmeyer, from Bullskin Township, 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs. The final score of the first of two in Dover, Ohio was 16-2. 

For the final game of the series, and the second game of the double header on the road, Fayette once again started out strong. Fayette scored 9 runs to the Tuscarawas 1 in the first inning. Once the Tuscarawas score 5 in the bottom of the second, it was off to the races with the bats each inning. AJ Segarra came in as the winning pitcher of the game, with 4 strikeouts over three innings. Sawyer D'Andrea managed to achieve the save for the game with pitching. Braeden McKnight, from Uniontown, managed to accomplish 4 RBIs, 3 hits, and 3 runs during the game. Also achieving great numbers was Riley Henck, from Fredricktown, with 3 RBIs, 3 hits, 3 runs and Frank Macioce, from Plum, with 4 runs, 3 hits, and 2 RBIs. The final score was a batters game, with Fayette in favor 23-20.
