Baseball loses the battle with CCAC

Lemont Furnace, PA- Baseball loses the battle with CCAC in nine inning game.

It was a strong battle Tuesday night for the Fayette Baseball Team against CCAC. Fayette was able to secure 3 runs in the second, thanks to senior Sawyer D'Andrea. CCAC answered quick in the top of the third with 4 runs. As CCAC grew quiet in the forth and fifth inning, Fayette's bats became loud with 4 runs, 1 being a homerun by senior Josh Burns. The significants on the homerun ran deep for Burns, due to having his first collegiate homerun the first game of his career with Fayette Baseball. CCAC came alive in the top of the seventh with 4 runs, thanks to a grandslam by Brannagan. Fayette was unable to get the bats going in the eighth and ninth, CCAC won the game in a hard fought win 9-8. This will conclude Fayette's baseball season for the year.
