Jones, Freeman and Boring lead MBB to 112-104 win over Carlow

Lemont Furnace, PA - Dasilas Jones (38), Mo Freeman (29) and Dom Boring (21) combined for 89 points Friday night to lead the Penn State Fayette men's basketball team to a fast-paced 112-104 win over visiting Carlow.

"We played our best team game (of the season) yet," said first-year head coach Andy Hedrick. "Dasilas really battled both taking the ball to the hoop and on the boards.  Everyone that played contributed in a big way tonight.  It was a nice win for us."

Jones' (Fairmont, WV/Fairmont HS) 39 points were a career high, as were his 11 rebounds.  He made 15 of 29 shots, including two of his five three-point attempts and was six of eight form the free throw line.  Seven of his 11 rebounds were on the offensive end, as Fayette finished with 15 offensive boards which led to 23 second-chance points.  Jones also tied a career-high with five assists.  Freeman's (New Castle, DE/Salem Community College) 29 points set a new career high for him as well as he made nine of his 15 shot attempts, including four makes of nine three-point attempts.  He made all seven of his free throw attempts and added three steals.  Boring's (Lancaster, OH/Lancaster HS) 21 points were one off from his career-high 22 that he set in the previous game against Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC).  Matt Forbes (Verona, PA/Massabutten Military Academy) provided a spark off the bench as he scored 10 points and Will Hagwood (Willoughby, OH/Willoughby HS) added nine points.

Marcus Millien (26), Nehemiah Brazil (22) and Riley Comforti (21) combined for 69 points for Carlow.

The Nittany Lions shot 49.4% (40-81) while Carlow shot 59% (36-61).  Fayette hit 14 of 30 three-point attempts (46.7%) while Carlow made 10 of 22 (45.5%).  After four games, Fayette is averaging 103.7 points per game.

After three days off, the Nittany Lions will look to win their third straight game as they host Penn Highlands Tuesday at 6 p.m.
