VB swept at first place Dubois

The Penn State Fayette Volleyball team dropped a three-set Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) West division matchup at Penn State Mont Alto Monday.

Fayette (9-8 overall, 5-5 PSUAC) fought hard but dropped the sets to Dubois (16-5, 9-2) by scores of 25-20, 29-27 and 25-19).  With the outcome, Fayette's magic number to clinch a spot in the PSUAC tournament remains at one while Mont Alto is now in first place by percentage points over Penn State DuBois (13-5, 8-2) and a full game over Penn State Greater Allegheny (16-7, 8-3).

Jadyn Barnish (Carmichaels, PA/Carmichaels HS) finished with 12 assists, Kamden Miller (Midland, PA/Lincoln Park HS recorded 14 digs, Angel Buwawa (Uniontown, PA/Laurel Highlands HS) had nine digs and Alie McGee (Carmichaels, PA/Carmichaels HS) tallied eight assists and six digs.

Fayette closes its home schedule Thursday when it hosts WVU Potomac College in a non-conference match before closing out the season with two road matches at Penn State Shenango (4-11, 2-7) Saturday at 2 p.m. and at Penn State New Kensington (1-12, 0-10) Monday at 7 p.m.
