Fayette Women Set For The National Stage

The Penn State Fayette Lady Roaring Lions had a few weeks to rest and regroup to prepare for the USCAA Basketball National Tournament. Penn State Fayette last played in the PSUAC Quarterfinals mid-February against Penn State Brandywine unfortunately falling short, 80-77. Although, the Lady Roaring Lions was able to come together at practice to work hard. Fayette's starters come out hot with their aggressive trio. Senior PSUAC First-Team All-Conference Taylor Smith leads her team in double-doubles with an average of 18 PPG and 12.4 rebounds per game. Right behind is fellow senior and PSUAC Honorable Mention Courtney Haines whom brings her team an average of 16.5 and 3.2 steals per game. PSUAC Honorable Mention Junior Haley Moreland also gives Fayette 14.4 PPG and 2.7 assists per game.

The Fayette Lady Roaring Lions will face Central Maine Community College in the first round of the USCAA Basketball National Tournament of the Women's Basketball Division II. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. in the Main Arena on Thursday, March 2nd.
