Jones makes Fayette History

Jones makes Fayette History

Lemont Furnace, PA- On January 21st at home against Penn State DuBois, Dasilas Jones reached a milestone that will likely remain untouched for a long time. With less than a minute remaining in regulation, he made a free throw that etched his name at the top of the scoring leaders in Penn State Fayette history with 1,578 points. It has been a long journey to get to this point for him, but his consistently stellar play made it a matter of when, not if he would break the record. Luckily, this moment happened in front of a home crowd that was there to celebrate this accomplishment with him. Unfortunately, Penn State Fayette couldn't get a win, but that did not make breaking the record any less of a magical moment.

This record comes after averaging 46.7% from the field, over 33% from 3, and 80% from the free throw line over a four-year career. His hard work and dedication to reaching greatness was finally rewarded last Tuesday with his incredible achievement. He is having an incredible season, and with a handful of games remaining in the year he has the chance to truly separate himself from the rest and make his record unattainable.
