Spring Schedules Released!

Lemont Furnace, PA- Spring Sports schedule release 

The spring sports schedules for Fayette athletics have been released!  

For baseball one of the returning players to watch out for is third year player, Johnny Ioannou. Ioannou finished last season with a .316 batting average in 36 games. Another returning player to watch out for this season is Andrew Despot. Andrew broke the all-time Penn State Fayette hits record last season! He is poised to have a great season in his senior year! 

The softball team is looking to have a bounce back season this year with a couple of returning players. Second year outfielder Sophia Zalar is looking to build on her outstanding first season where she batted .435 with 37 hits. Another second-year player looking to build upon an excellent first year is Taryn Stewart. She batted an outstanding .459 with 39 hits in her first-year last year. Another player to watch out for is 3rd year pitcher Madison Cyphert who finished the year last year with 35 strike outs. One more player to watch out for this season is second year player Julie Cooper. She hit .315 last season and even had 6 appearances pitching totaling 14 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched. 

Track and Field is ready to get their season started. Two returners are geared up and ready with Samuel Leonard, a 4th year runner and Jennifer Zelenick, a 4th year thrower; both looking to show out in their final year.
