The Fayette Baseball Roaring Lions played host to visiting Hiram College in a doubleheader bout Sunday, March 23, 2015. Game 1 proved to be close matchup behind starting pitcher and upcoming freshman talent, Kody Thomas. Thomas, completing the game, was supported by a strong defensive performance allowing a total of 4 runs heading into the 5th inning.
Behind the bats of Sean Cotton, Matt Nolan, Grant Wortman, and Dylan Jackson, the Roaring Lions managed to make a roaring comeback to defeat Hiram 6-5 in the 7th inning.
The second game proved to be NOT-SO-SWEET for Fayette as Hiram overcame a heart-breakening loss in Game 1, defeating the Roaring Lions in a decisive fashion. Fayette, not managing to show up on either side of the game, were shut out in 5 innings, 0-15.
The Roaring Lions hope to get back on track as they are scheduled to visit Garrett CC Wednesday, March 25th in at doubleheader starting at 2pm.
