An Impressive Start to the Season as Baseball Continues their Winning Streak.
Monroeville- After a 2-0 start to the season, the Roaring Lions looked to improve to 3-0 against CCAC Boyce after defeating Central Penn College the day before. Winning pitcher, Kody Thomas, started and finished the game, pitching every inning while only allowing 3 runs. Thomas was good for 11 strikeouts and only 5 walks. Boyce was able to only manage 6 hits off of Thomas. Fayette was led offensively by Seth Krall who managed to score 4 times with two hits and 4 RBI's with only two at bats. Jim Amarosa and Matt Nolan both had two hits on the day. Krall had a solid game adding 2 stolen bases while Sean Cotton added 1 stolen base. Amarosa, Welsh, and Haines all contributed to the score adding 2 RBI's each. Fayette left Boyce in the dust beating them 17-3, improving to 3-0.
The Roaring Lions will be on the road in their first PSUAC game against Penn State Dubois on Monday, March 28th at 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
